Care and Maintenance - Easy Living
Most importantly all carpets should be vacuumed on a regular basis; this will prevent soil accumulating and thereby prolong the life of your carpet.
If you have a cut pile carpet we recommend the use of an upright vacuum with beater bar, loop pile carpets require a suction based cleaner.
Spills and Stains
IT IS IMPORTANT TO ACT QUICKLY!
a. Absorb liquid spills by blotting (DO NOT RUB) with absorbent cloths or plain white paper towels.
If a spillage is hard or crusty, then scrape lightly to loosen, or scoop up soft substances with the dull edge of a spoon. Any loose particles that can be readily
removed may be vacuumed
b. Using tepid clear water blot the spill firmly using a sponge or cloth. Repeat this procedure carefully several times, rinsing the sponge or cloth frequently.
Take care not to over-wet the carpet.
c. If the stain is not removed by the use of warm water, seek professional cleaning advice.
d. To ensure that the carpet is dry throughout the tuft after cleaning, place a number of sheets of absorbent paper towel over the treated area and then cover
with a heavy book or similar, leaving for several hours. Do not walk on the carpet whilst wet.
e. If bleach is required neat bleach can be applied we recommend 25% bleach to 75% water is also used
We strongly recommend that all carpets are cleaned professionally every 18-24 months. This is a requirement of the lifetime guarantee and will maximize the life of your carpet.
